Just in case you're asking yourself, "Why can't I see my site in search engine results?" Well, you might consider submitting your sites to different search engines like Google, Yahoo, Bing (formerly MSN), and a whole lot more.

How to Promote Your Blog (Part 2) This Time, With Twitter!

I already did a post on "How To Promote Your Blog" earlier. And I've said that you can use social networking to promote your blog.

Well now, let me add this details to it. I'm pretty sure most of you have accounts in social networking sites like Friendster,Myspace, and Facebook. You can promote your blogs by inviting them to visit your site through your comments, or messages.

Aside from these social networking sites, you can also use Twitter to promote your blog. This kind of social networking is just a matter of following and being followed. You can "follow" your friends and know what they're doing now. But you also have to ask them to "follow" you in return so that you'll have an update of each other about what you're doing now.

Twitter lets you type an update (commonly called as "tweets") of you and shows it to everyone who "follows" you. Simple, isn't it? You just need to have a lot of followers to increase your blog promotion. Your site will have more chances of getting visited if you promote your blog in Twitter with a lot of followers.

How to Create a Blog for Dummies

Well, I know you're wondering now how to create your own blog. *tee-hee*
(By the way, it's totally free. You just have to follow the steps below.)

The internet offers thousands (I mean, literally) of ways on how to create your own blog. For beginners, I recommend Google's Blogger ,which is the one I'm using now.

Okay, here are the steps:

First, you need to create your own Gmail account here. Click on "Create a New Account" located somewhere on the lower right portion of the screen.

Next, go to Blogger.com and sign in using your Gmail account, type your username and password.

You will be asked to create a blog title and then provide a unique name for your URL. For example, http://earndnet.blogspot.com/. Instead of "earndnet", create a unique name. Be sure to check its availability by typing your desired name and then click "Check Availability" right below the box.

Once you're done with it, click on "Start Blogging". You will be directed to your "Dashboard" and you can see your list of blogs. And now,you're ready to post on your blogs.

If you want to a new post, click "New Post" and simply follow the instructions given.

Of you want to get a little creative with your blogs, you might want to learn a little bit a HTML codes and start creating hyperlinks, inserting images, changing font colors and sizes and a whole lot more. If you're new to HTML, then try visiting www.w3schools.com and learn the basics about HTML. Basically, they do provide step by step tutorials on HTML.
